Why Bébé Voyage Loves California

California is one of those states that you won’t be able to see all of in one trip. The amount of sites and parks could take you a lifetime to get through, which can be overwhelming when trying to plan a trip there, but it is also one of the reasons here at Bébé Voyage we love it so much! From SoCal and the beaches northward to Yosemite and award winning wineries there is literally something for everyone in your family. Amusement parks, zoos, aquariums, world class restaurants, and friendly people make California extremely inviting and the weather to do all these activities in, is the icing on the cake. It has a very mild climate and while the northern parts of the state can get a bit colder in the winter, the majority of the state stays temperate year round. Which means less worrying about what to pack for the kiddo’s for mom and dad! Also with a plethora of hotels and different style lodging, you also won’t need to worry about finding a suitable accommodation for your family. So what IS your biggest worry for California? Which part of the state are you going to focus on!

When choosing a destination for your next trip, one of the hardest things is finding a place where everyone will have fun. California is one of the best options for that problem. The Southern part of California is warm, has beautiful beaches, and a ton of parks for the kids. San Diego is known for having some of the best weather anywhere in the country and it also happens to be home to the San Diego Zoo, which repeatedly gets ranked not only one of the best zoos in the country, but also as one of the best zoos in the world. It’s also home to an amazing safari park that got awarded a travelers choice award from TripAdvisor and Balboa Park is also another popular stop with museums, trails, and gardens.

Heading to the Los Angeles area instead? DisneyLand is of course a must stop in Anaheim if you have the time or haven’t been to a Disney park yet on your adventures. If you are staying closer to the beaches, the iconic Santa Monica pier is a great stop, as well as Malibu beach to sit and let the kids watch the surfers! Be aware however that the water can be very cold, so don’t expect the kids to be doing too much splashing around! With plenty of sights along the beaches and piers however, there should be no problem keeping the kids entertained despite the cold water.

Heading further north be sure to take a drive along the Pacific Coast Highway. It has some jaw-dropping scenery and lots of cute places to stop along the way or let the kids stretch their legs. Once further north the scenery will start to change and if you are driving you will be able to head through Yosemite. The kids will absolutely fall in love with the giant Sequoia trees and getting sprayed by either Yosemite Falls or Bridalveil Falls.

Further north in the San Francisco area gives you a completely different feel than the southern end of the state. Fisherman’s wharf is a must see to grab some treats and watch the Sea Lions sunbathe along the docks. Just down the street is also the Aquarium of the Bay which is always a huge hit with kids and parents alike. Don’t forget to take a chocolate factory tour and then watch the legendary fog roll in as well! Next take a ride up to Sonoma, Napa, or one of the other many wine regions around the state and relax at a family friendly winery. Let the kids play and enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the beautiful scenery around you.

There are honestly just too many things to do in California with kids, and while this all sounds like it could be a multi-country trip, its really just one amazing state which everyone should visit once!
