Summer is here, which means plenty of family picnics outdoors and sunny days spent at the beach! I purchased this pop-up tent last summer for a road trip out east to the beach to visit friends. It served double duty back home as a shaded area for my crawling baby to play in the yard with his older brother. Whether you’re flying to the beach or driving to the park, the Babymoov Tent creates the perfect spot to protect your baby from the sun, wind, and other elements. It’s pop-up system makes it easy to unfold; folding it back is another story, for us at least, as we had to watch YouTube videos a few times to figure out how to do it right. (Make sure you’ve got the hang of it before you pop it open somewhere!) It’s folds up into a large flat circle that fits inside a carrying case with handles, so it’s easy to lay flat in your luggage or toss into the trunk of your car.

The mesh roll-up netting offers protection from mosquitos and other bugs while staying ventilated and cool inside. The tent has an anti-UV rating of 50 SPF, which protects your child’s skin from 99% of harmful UVA and UVB rays from the sun. The material is easy to hose off, blocks wind, and keeps baby off the sand. If it’s a windy day, use pegs to stake the tent to the ground or beach. What I love about this tent the most is the fact that it weighs practically nothing–1.5 pounds to be exact–so it doesn’t add anything to your luggage. And it’s large enough to accommodate both of my boys when they need a break in the shade together! (They think it’s fun to play in even when we’re not at the park or the beach.)
