    Mathilde and family

Excited to present to you our second bilingual blog post. Mathilde bravely took off with her two very young little boys and her husband to Mauritius thanks to Club Bébé Voyage‘s advice. On her trip, she learned how to take on a laid-back approach and how to keep her little boys entertained. Read on to find out how she did it!

Your baby’s/ babies’ age and name/s:

Elzéar is two and half years-old and Arsène is one.

L’âge et nom de votre bébé:

    Elzéar a 2 ans ½ et Arsène a presque 1 an.

    Your nationality/ies:

    We are French.

    Vos nationalités:

    Nous sommes Français.

    Were you traveling with anyone?

We were traveling as a family, two parents and two boys.

Where did you travel to and from?

We traveled from Paris to Mauritius.

    Quel était votre parcours?

Nous sommes allés de Paris à L’Ile Maurice.

What mode of transportation did you take?

    Plane.

Quel mode de transport avez-vous utilisé?

    Avion.

What airline did you fly and would you recommend them (si oui ou non dis-moi pourquoi)?

Corsair – they have a few bassinets available onboard that you can reserve if your baby is under nine months. Otherwise, you have to request one at check-in, and cross your fingers. The crew was nice and attentive towards our children.

The plane that we were meant to travel on had a technical problem, meaning we stayed up all night at the airport with the boys. They were playing in a play area at 4AM. It was crazy, but I guess these things happen…

What was the most difficult part of the trip?

What was your greatest success during this trip?

Elzéar’s godmother gave him a little suitcase he brought with him everywhere and where he hid his little treasures. He was very proud to have one, just like the grown ups.

What is the best tip you have for fellow traveling parents?

I recommend you bring many little games, including coloring books, stickers, and let your children watch as many cartoons as they want.

We also brought their sleep sacks for the red-eye, allowing the boys to be in their night-night element. And they slept well.

What is your favorite travel app/ item/ accessory?

The little suitcase I mentioned and wipes to freshen up.

    Anything else we should know?

Traveling with kids is possible, and it’s thanks to Bébé Voyage that we went for it. Thank you.

Merci.
