The best hotels in Paris for families aren’t always easy to find. In a city known more for romance and charm than stroller accessibility and functionality, Paris hotels sometimes yield unpleasant surprises for families. Whether it’s rooms the size of a shoe box or elevators the size of a pea (if there is one!), accommodations in Paris for families can be tricky.

That’s why we’ve rounded up the best hotels in Paris for families. These are places that members of our community have actually stayed in with their kids. From the Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel, only a block away from the iconic attraction to a more affordable options in Montparnasse and a hidden gem near La Madeleine, here are our top recommendations.

The best hotels in Paris for families by price

    (c) Hotel Villa Modigliani Paris

    Villa Modigliani

The triple room at Villa Modigliani is huge! They also have family rooms with bunk beds and boast no extra charges for two children 12 and under when staying in a room with two parents. The hotel is super reasonably priced and located in Montparnasse, a short 10-minute walk to Jardin du Luxembourg! They have a nice “cour intérieur” and a back garden, providing a nice little outdoor space for kids to run around if you need a break but can’t make it all the way to the park. [13 Rue Delambre, 75014 Paris, France] Rates from around €115/night.

The Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel

The Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel’s location can’t be beat as it’s only one-block away from the world’s most iconic tourist attraction. That means that you’re also only a block away from a playground and the grassy expanses of the Champs de Mars, perfect for running around or having a picnic. For a bit more room, book the junior suite which has a connecting door, meaning that you won’t be condemned to drinking wine in the bathroom once you’ve turned off the lights for the kids. [20 rue Jean Rey, 75015 Paris] Rates from around €165/night.

    Hotel Bedford

Hotel Bedford, near La Madeleine, has been a staple for many families for decades. It’s centrally located, has excellent service, staff are so friendly, and the interior offers classic Parisian style. This is the hidden gem on our list of best hotels in Paris for families. It’s more upscale, has a good breakfast, and is walking distance to many famous landmarks & restaurants. Check out the flea market on Saturdays just around the corner. [17 Rue de l’Arcade, 75008 Paris, France] Rates from around €210/night.

    Hotel Square Louvois Paris

A great value for the money and in a prime location is Hotel Square Louvois Paris. This hotel lends a more contemporary and romantic feel. Children are most welcome, but they do not offer rollaway beds. The rooms are fairly large for Paris and affordable. The staff is friendly and there’s a small but lovely pool located in the cellar. The location can’t be beat–the hotel is in the 2nd Arrondissement, walking distance to the Louvre and the Opéra. [ 12 Rue De Louvois, 75002 Paris, France] Rates from around €250/night.

    Hôtel Le Bristol Paris

one of the best hotels in paris for families - le bristol and its friendly rabbit

Classically French and oh-so-charming, Hôtel Le Bristol Paris will delight parents and children alike. Located in the 8th Arrondissement, this luxury hotel is a short walk from sites like Petit Palais, Grand Palais, Place de la Concorde, Arc de Triomphe, and more. The hotel features three restaurants, a full-service spa for mom or dad to enjoy, an indoor pool, a cafe, and a beautiful garden area, just to name a few, which lends us to considering this place more of a resort.

It’s biggest selling feature as one of the best hotels in Paris for families? The complimentary children’s club! (And it’s conveniently located adjacent to the spa, giving you a chance to relax and unwind.) Hippolyte, the hotel’s signature gardening rabbit–named after the hotel’s founder Hippolyte Jammet–greets young guests as they arrive. The stuffed animal comes with a personalized welcome booklet featuring ideas for walks around Paris and various fun family activities. Family rooms feature children’s bath products, baby bed linens, and a menu created especially for young foodies. Hotel staff have even designed a treasure hunt programme where young guests go on a search for Hippolyte’s missing gardening tools. This thoughtfulness and effort towards young children makes Le Bristol Paris a perfect place to stay. [112 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, 75008 Paris, France] Rates from around €1950/night.
