Travel (v): to make a journey; typically of some length

It is no coincidence that we talk about traveling the world and traveling through parenthood together. Raising a child is the ultimate journey. One of the bonds of the Bébé Voyage community is the desire to raise globally-minded kids. Furthermore, we all believe that this can start at birth. Why not surround your baby with your travel enthusiasm from the start by decorating a nursery inspired by travel?

We’ve selected a handful of fun, travel-inspired elements you can include in your nursery design.

  1. World Map Rug | Not only is the Lorena Canals world map rug soft, but it is machine washable in a conventional washing machine. You can let baby play worry free since it’s made of 100% natural cotton and uses non-toxic dyes. Plus, its neutral colors pair well with any color scheme.
  2. Hot Air Balloon Receiving Blanket | This warm, cozy, ultra soft receiving blanket is personalized to showcase your little traveler’s name.
  3. Zahara World Map Crib Sheets | These neutral sheets are soft and cute. They are sure to have your little one dreaming of your next adventure.
  4. Bamboo Transportation Mobile | The Petit Collage transportation mobile is laser cut from sustainable bamboo and accented with wool felt pieces to add a pop of color. The modes of transportation dancing above are sure to capture your little one’s attention.
  5. Hot Air Balloon Wall Hanging | This set of three wall hangings can be personalized with baby’s name and feature the Dr. Seuss quote, “Oh! The places you’ll go.”
  6. Airplane Rocker | This beautiful, hand finished, solid brown maple rocker is the perfect nursery centerpiece that will double as a favorite toy. The biplane rocker has a spinning propellor and solid oak dowel hand holds.
  7. Bon Voyage Suitcase Set | Land of Nod’s set of three stacking suitcases is the perfect accent piece. Use them to store trinkets from baby’s first trip, socks, diapers or just use as decoration.
  8. Bébé Voyage First Flight Onesie | Bébé Voyage’s ‘first flight’ onesie is perfect for celebrating (and remembering) your little traveler’s first flight. Put it on display in the nursery to savor the moment you gave them their first taste of flight. Consider personalizing the shirt with airport codes (think LAX-JFK) to make a truly amazing gift.
  9. Suitcase Pillow | Etsy seller Olive Handmade has a plethora of adorable pillows. This suitcase pillow easily transforms from adorable pillow to toy when baby starts pretending to travel the world.
  10. Travel Milestone Cards | Taylor Hearts Travel has created these adorable travel milestone cards. Each postcard features a travel milestone on the front and room to write on the back. It’s the perfect way to capture all those travel milestones over the years.
